Hello, waterpark enthusiasts! I’m thrilled to share my full review of the Columbia Pictures Aquaverse Waterpark in Pattaya.
Honestly, this place has created one of the best childhood memory I’d had with my family and friends!
Table of Contents:
Note: I paid for all trips out of my own pocket, so this is a completely honest review.
Now let’s dive into the adventure!
Previously known as the Cartoon Network Waterpark, the Columbia Pictures Aquaverse was famous for its cartoon-themed attractions featuring characters like the Power Puff Girls and Ben 10.
Recently, it rebranded under the Columbia Pictures theme, I was eager to see how it held up against my fond memories.
Operating hours are from 10AM to 6PM daily.
Although some areas show signs of wear, especially the bathrooms, the overall maintenance is decent. The fun parts on attractions are still there.
The park features seven main zones: Hotel Transylvania, Ghostbusters, Jumanji, ZombieLand, Megawave zone, Surf’s Up, and Hollywood Square.
You can cover all zones comfortably in half a day, but a full day is ideal if you want to experience everything without rushing.
This zone is perfect for young children with its water town setup. There are multiple slides of varying heights and it’s a hotspot for cute photos.
This zone offers thrilling rides for older kids and adults:
The “Slimer Speed Racer” has a dramatic drop at the end.
The “Proton Stream” features a large circular tube that can accommodate 2-3 people. To access this attraction, you’ll need to pick up a queue card from the Jumanji zone.
An adventure-themed water zone where you can slide through a jungle setting, from the mouths of snakes and hippos on a two-person tube.
My personal favorite, this chill zone lets you float on a tube amidst gently whirling waters, offering a more relaxed pace. This zone is perfect for young children.
This zone is like a movie theater set amidst the waves, giving the illusion that you’re watching a film in the middle of the sea.
It’s my favorite zone and perfect for those who enjoy a laid-back vibe.
The best time to visit this zone is after 4:30 PM when the sun isn’t as intense.
Every 20 minutes, the park activates the Mega Wave feature, creating giant waves that make you feel like you’re floating in the open sea.
There’s also a fun mix of bubbles and water sprays just like Songkran Water Festival.
This area is themed around Penguin Surf and features the Surf House for adults. It was quite the adventure trying my hand at surfing here. I admit, I fell off the board within the first two seconds! However, some guests were able to stay on much longer and even ride several times in a row.
For those interested in practicing surfing, I recommend visiting this zone in the evening when it’s less crowded. Fewer people means shorter queues!
A show zone where kids can interact with characters and enjoy performances.
It’s close to food and beverage areas. The food here are very pricey while outside food and drinks are not permitted.
A fun addition where you can race go-carts. A great activity if you’re spending the whole day and want a break from the water.
Tickets at the gate are pricey
I bought them online through Klook where the price went as low as 990 THB. (This is the best price I found so far)
Columbia Pictures Aquaverse is a fantastic destination for families, couples, or anyone looking to have a fun-filled day in Pattaya.
